1971 patients discharged in Assam on Thursday
September 3: On Thursday, 1971 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 90,697 patients got cured and subsequently discharged in the state. As of now, there are 27,303 active cases in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1971 patients discharged today Stay fit. Stay kind. Stay hopeful.”
Also, 3054 persons tested COVID-19 positive in Assam on Thursday with Kamrup Metro leading the tally by 735 fresh cases. Dibrugarh was in the next position with 198 positive cases. With 192 new cases, Cachar was 3rd in the state Covid tally. With this, the state tally has now gone upto 1,18,333, out of which, 29,274 are active cases. Further, 8 more persons died in Assam due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 330.
