17 more +ve in Assam including 3 each from Cachar & Hailakandi, total rises to 346
Active cases 282 in Assam
May 23: The positive cases are now increasing in Assam by leaps and bounds. At 10.55 PM on Saturday, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted to inform that 17 more COVID-19 positive cases were reported from the state.

- 01: Goalpara
- 08: Tested Positive at Silchar medical College and Hospital (SMCH), out of which 3 are from Cachar, 3 from Hailakandi and 3 from Tripura.
With this, the total number of COVID-19 positive patients in the state has increased to 346. Out of 346 patients, 57 of them were discharged. So at present, the number of active cases in Assam has moved up to 282.
