1616 patients discharged in Assam on Wednesday
Sept. 30: On Wednesday, 1616 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 1,45,615 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres. At present, there are 34,496 active cases in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1616 patients discharged today. Be wise and advise your family to take all precautions to contain #COVID. My best wishes to all recovered patients.”
On Wednesday, a total of 1,48,780 tests were done in the state, out of which, 3590 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus has now gone upto 1,80,811. Further, during the day, another 17 persons died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 697.
