6 detected Covid +ve till 5 PM in Cachar on Wednesday

Sept 28: A total of 06 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 5 PM on Wednesday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 2,587 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 06 persons were found positive, whereas till the filing of this report, RT-PCR test results were not made available. It needs mention here that 10 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Tuesday.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 28 September to 5 PM on 29 September) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Wednesday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 29 September, there were 23 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, but 02 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 03 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 03 of them were discharged.
