1457 patients discharged in Assam on Monday
Oct. 12: On Monday, 1457 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 1,66,036 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. At present, there are 28,439 active cases in Assam. In a tweet, State health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1457 patients discharged today. While we are doing better each day, I advise people to keep taking precautions. For now, #Mask is the #vaccine!”
On Monday, 1521 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now reached 1,95,304. During the day, 1,07,900 tests were done in Assam. Moreover, during the day, another 10 persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of Assam to 826.
