Police along with Assam Rifles arrests women with 112 grams Heroin

April 30: Acting on the basis of a tip-off, the house of one Rini Begum under Lakhipur Police Station was raided by Assam Rifles along with state police forces in early morning on Tuesday. The search operation yielded 112 grams of heroin, sharp weapons and some other objectionable articles. After preliminary interrogation, she was then produced before a court at Lakhipur and then was sent to Silchar District Jail on judicial remand. As per police sources, the investigation is on and police are exploring more information as regards the network from wherein she operated.
