Bhupendra Patel becomes new CM of Gujarat after resignation of Vijay Rupani

Sept. 12: A day after 65-year-old Vijay Rupani resigned from the post of the Chief Minister of Guarat, he was replaced by Ghatlodia MLA Bhupendra Patel. The change of guard came ahead of the Gujarat Assembly polls, 2022. Patel will be sworn-in as the 17th Chief Minister of Gujarat on Monday. This was confirmed by Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. The 55-year old Bhupendra Patel was unanimously elected BJP legislature party leader.
