Within 2 years of marriage, wife allegedly burnt to death for dowry by husband in Karimganj

March 7: Just two years ago, Jamal Uddin, a resident of Moinath under Baroigram Police Station in Karimganj district married Khudeja Begum. However, on Monday, the wife, Khudeja Begum got burnt under mysterious circumstances inside the kitchen. The lady succumbed to the severe burn injuries.

It was alleged that the husband Jamal Uddin has set his wife on fire for dowry related issues. Sources, revealed that Khudeja was the 2nd wife of the accused and he was married to another lady earlier. On being informed, cops from Baroigram Police Station in Karimganj district reached the spot and took the husband Jamal Uddin to their custody.
