IED Blast rocks Imphal’s Thangal Bazar, 6 injured

November 5: Five policemen and one civilian were severely injured after a bomb blast in Thangal Bazar area of Imphal in Manipur on Tuesday. The injured policed included Amarjit Lamabam, Additional Superintendent of Police, (Operations), Imphal west district. The wounded were rushed to private hospital Raj Medicity. Tuesday’s blast is the second in four days in Imphal.

Within an hour of the blast, Manipur Chief Minister N.Biren Singh visited the blast site. The powerful bomb was planted by unknown miscreants. Manipur police team led by SP Imphal rushed to the spot and began search operations. No underground outfit was claimed so far.
