After taking charge as President DCC, Tamal Banik went to see the former ailing President Arun Dutta Majumdar

May 10: Tamal Kanti Banik on Tuesday assumed charge as the President in-charge of District Congress in presence of packed auditorium. During the day, Tamal Banik took charge as the in-charge President of Silchar DCC from the Vice President Mani Kanta Sinha. As the in-charge President of Silchar District Congress was ill and had to be admitted in a hospital, the Vice President handed over the charge to Tamal.

On assuming charge, Tamal Banik went to see the former in-charge President of District Congress, Arun Dutta Majumdar, who is at present admitted at Red Cross Hospital, Silchar. The new President in-charge of district Congress wished his predecessor quick recovery.
