Covid scare! All museums & monuments under ASI closed till 15 May

April 15: With the increase in COVID-19 cases throughout the country, it has been decided to close all the centrally protected monuments, sites and museums under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) with immediate effect till 15 May or until further orders. This was stated in an official order issued by NK Pathak, Director (Monuments), Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Govt of India on 15 April. It needs mention here that India recorded its highest single-day rise of 2,00,739 cases during the last 24 hours.
