4,189 found Covid +ve in Assam, 6,747 discharged & 19 deaths registered on Tuesday

Jan. 25: On Tuesday, out of 43,587 tests, 4,189 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 7,02,902. The positivity rate in the state is 9.61 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 998 positive cases during the day. Further, on Tuesday, 19 died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,338. The recovery rate is 93 percent. Also, 6,747 persons were discharged during the day. There are at present 41,498 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Monday, 5,902 persons tested positive in Assam and 18 deaths were registered.
