16 tests Covid-19 +ve in Hailakandi on Tuesday, active cases rises to 70

April 27: Hailakandi reported 16 fresh COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, pushing the coronavirus tally in the district to 3,454. Of the 16 active cases detected on Tuesday, 12 have been found positive under Rapid Antigen Test. So far 1,423 have been found positive under RT-PCR and 2,031 under RAT. Results of 487 samples are being awaited from Silchar Medical College and Hospital.

The district has altogether 70 active COVID-19 cases while 3,361 patients have recuperated from the affliction. 15 patients are presently undergoing treatment at SK Roy Civil Hospital and 55 kept under home isolation. Altogether 1,75,794 samples for COVID-19 have been tested so far, including 1,110 samples taken in the last 24 hours. The district has accounted for nine COVID deaths in the first wave of the pandemic.
