Dakkhin Bilpar Durga Puja Committee distribute cooked food among flood victims

July 17: The recent devastating flood at Silchar has been a curse for the inhabitants. Till now, many flood affected people are staying in relief camps set up at various educational institutions in Silchar. With active cooperation from Sumit Das (Opai), members of Dakkhin Bilpar Durga Puja Committee distributed cooked food among flood victims who have taken shelter at Manmohan Mazumder Balika Vidya Niketan, Niranjan Paul Institute and Tarapur Girls’ School.

Each of the inmates who took shelter at these three schools were given cooked food packets and drinking water. Apart from Sumit Das (Opai), present there on behalf of Dakkhin Bilpar Durga Puja Committee were Bappi Roy, Bireswar Bhattacharjee, Bappa Das, Sanju Sinha, Narayan Kansabanik, Tamal Chakraborty, Pradip Kr Roy, Santanu Das, Debdulal among others.
