1,254 found Covid +ve in Assam, 305 discharged & 2 deaths registered on Saturday

Jan 8: On Saturday, out of 33,609 tests, 1,254 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,25,753. The positivity rate in the state is 3.73 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 472 positive cases during the day. Further, on Saturday, 02 died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,180. The recovery rate is 98.07 percent.

It needs mention here that on Friday, 1,167 persons tested positive in Assam and 02 deaths were registered.
