RMC releases video of Golden Jubilee theme song, artists felicitated on Monday

Feb. 8: To commemorate the Golden Jubilee Celebration of Radhamadhab College (RMC), Silchar, a theme song has been composed, the audio for which was released on 7 February, 2021 during the inaugural rally. The video of the theme song was officially released on 8 February by Dr. Debashish Roy, Principal of the college. The song was written by Biswaraj Bhattacharjee. The song was sung by eminent folk artist Bikramjit Baulia and a former student of the college Megha Das. The music was composed by Nirupam Barbhuiya and Ranabir Singha. The song was picturised by Subrajit Paul.

The theme song release programme was chaired by Dr. Debashish Roy, Principal of Radhamadhab College, Silchar. Others in the dias were Dr. Ashima Roy, Vice Principal cum Working President of the Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee and Sudarshan Gupta, HOD of History cum Organising Secretary of the Celebration Committee. The programme was compered by Arundhuti Dutta Choudhury, HOD of English. All those who were involved in the making of the theme song were felicitated with an uttorio, memento and a certificate.

Meanwhile, the boundary wall of the college was decorated with a number of paintings which were done under the supervision of renowned artist and Principal of Shilpangan Sandipan Dutta Purkayastha. Some of the students and former students of the college also took part in painting the wall. Apart from them, those who decorated the tabloid were also felicitated. Ankan Kangshabanik was the lead artist who decorated the tabloid.

Apart from them, who gave the background voice for the announcement of message during the inaugural rally were also felicitated. They are Payel Biswas, Indrani Saha and Dr. Rahul Chakraborty.

In connection with the golden jubilee, the college song was also recorded for the 1st time, which was sung by Megha Das. The song was written by Sekhar Deb Roy and the music was given by Shibani Brahmacharee. The music was composed by Nirupam Barbhuiya and Ranabir Singha. At the end of the function, the record of the college song was played, which was appreciated by all. The programme came to an end by the singing of the national anthem.
