Online classes in schools of Assam to start immediately & continue till re-opening of educational institutions

June 14: The outbreak of coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown has been a major source of loss for the teaching- learning process. All educational institutions are shut since the mid of May. As such, in order to save the academic year, Assam government had rescheduled the summer vacations of all schools (both govt & private) in the state. The summer vacation in the schools in the State of Assam will end on 14 June, 2021.

Considering this fact and in view of the present Covid-19 pandemic, the Director of Secondary Education,  Director Elementary Education, all Inspector of Schools, all DEEO’s of the Districts, all BEEO’s of the Education Blocks and Heads of the Educational Institutions (both Govt. and Private) were directed to take steps to conduct online classes immediately until further order or till re-opening of educational institutions, so that there is continuity of the students learning process.

This order issued by issued by the Principal Secretary to the Govt of Assam, Secondary Education Department on 14 June, 2021 will come into force immediately.
