Construction for 2 additional bays for improved aircraft parking space started at Silchar Airport

Sept. 23: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has undertaken construction of 02 additional bays, 01 for B738/A320 & other 01 for ATR/Q400 type aircrafts at a cost of Rs.15 crore at Silchar Airport. Once completed, the two additional bays will provide improved aircraft parking space. The work is expected to be completed within the next 18 months.

It needs mention here that at present, Silchar Airport has 03+01 Apron bays. 02 bays for B738/A320, 01 bay for ATR/Q400 & 01 bay (dependent) for ATR/Q400.
