Lockdown violation: 2326 people arrested in Assam, 17872 vehicles detained

April 23: The ongoing lockdown has seen an increase in the number of incidents of violation. In Assam alone, as of now, 2326 people were arrested and 17,872 vehicles were detained for violation of lockdown. As of 22 April,  2069 such incidents were reported from various districts of Assam and 1224 cases were registered. Further, 25 boats were also seized by the police. An amount of Rs. 1,02,41,400/- collected as fine from the violators.
