Assam registers 4 more COVID-19 deaths, tally reaches 98

July 31: Assam witnessed another 4 deaths due to COVID-19. The four deceased were identified as Manik Saha (68) of Hojai; Minu Banik (30) of Kamrup Metro; Gopal Das (68) of Jorhat and Bijay Sarkar (59) of Dibrugarh. Expressing grief at the demise of these COVID patients, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet wrote, “Sad to share the demise of four more #COVID patients. May God provide strength to their families to bear the loss. Prayers!” With this, the death tally of Assam has gone upto 98.
