25 news cases in Assam including 4 more from Cachar, total rises to 856

May 28: Another 25 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from Assam which takes the total tally of the state to 856. Out of them, 762 are active cases. The 25 new cases were reported from 5 districts in Assam:

• 13 Kamrup Metro
• 4 Cachar
• 3 Dhemaji
• 3 Barpeta
• 2 Kokrajhar

With 4 new corona positive cases in Cachar, the number of active cases in Barak Valley also increased to 80.
