HS admissions to be conducted online in Assam, says Education Minister

Students to mention bank account number & IFSC code in the application

June 7: The results of High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) was declared on 6 June. Now these students will seek admission in Higher Secondary. In this regard, an important announcement was made by State Education Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma during a press briefing on Sunday.

The minister declared that this year HS admission will be conducted through online mode due to COVID-19 pandemic. He further stated that the institutions should include students bank account number and IFSC code in the application form for admission in the Degree Courses to make it much easier to enrol for the courses”.

Further, Himanta Biswa Sarma also declared that, “Extremely pleased to share GOA has made ALL admissions – from HS upto PG level including medical, engineering, polytechnic for academic year 2020-21 – absolutely free. Under stress due to COVID19, this shall be big relief to families. All prospectus will be free.”
