Out of 1,48,780 tests done on Wednesday, 3590 found +ve in Assam; 17 deaths registered
Active cases 36,112 in Assam
Sept. 30: On Wednesday, a total of 1,48,780 tests were done in the state, out of which, 3590 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus has now gone upto 1,80,811, out of which 36,112 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 3590 #COVID cases detected out of 148780 tests. I applaud medical team for conducting more than 1 Lakh tests for the 3rd consecutive day. Positivity Rate ~ 2.41%.”
Further, during the day, another 17 persons died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 697.
