COVID-19 free Hailakandi ! District records nil +ve case for the 1st time

Oct.10: South Assam’s Hailakandi district recorded for the first time no COVID-19 positive case here on Saturday. Health authorities here disclosed that all the 434 swab samples taken on Saturday out of which 60 under RT-PCR and 374 under RAT tested negative.

The number of positive cases stands at 3,198 with 1,861 RAT cases. 3,079 persons on being cured have been released from hospitals.The number of active cases is 100. Eight COVID-19 positive patients have breathed their last at Silchar Medical College and Hospital. 11 deaths at SMC&H have been declared as ‘non-COVID’ by the State level Death Audit Board. 70 COVID-19 asymptomatic persons are under home isolation.

Of the 26,946 RT-PCR samples taken, 24,451 have tested negative. Swab results of 278 persons are awaited. Altogether 88,655 swab samples were taken out of which 27,006 are under RT-PCR and 61,649 under RAT.
