Gauhati HC to Deliver Order on Pawan Khera’s Bail Plea today

way2barak, April 24: The Gauhati High Court is set to pronounce its order on the anticipatory bail plea of senior Congress leader Pawan Khera today.

The matter will be heard in the court of Justice Parthivjyoti Saikia, who had reserved the order after completing the hearing on April 21.

Earlier, Khera had approached the Gauhati High Court seeking anticipatory bail in connection with an FIR registered against him in Assam. The case was filed following a complaint linked to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s wife, Riniki Bhuyan Sharma, over allegations related to claims about multiple passports.

During the last hearing, both sides presented their arguments before the court. After hearing the submissions, the bench reserved its order.

With the verdict expected today, attention is now on the court’s decision in the matter.
