43 detected Covid +ve till 6 PM in Cachar on Saturday

July 24:  A total of 43 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 6 PM on Saturday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 3,461 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 41 were found positive, whereas 02 persons were detected positive in RT-PCR test. It needs mention here that 81 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Friday.

The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 23 July to 5 PM on 24 July) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Saturday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 24 July, there were 66 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 36 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 20 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 08 patients were put under ventilator support and 42 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 13 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 08 of them were discharged.
