2595 tests +ve in Assam on Saturday; 8 more COVID-19 deaths

Sept. 19: On Saturday, 2595 new cases of novel coronavirus were detected in Assam. With this, the state tally of COVID-19 has now gone upto 1,55.453, out of which, 31,218 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrpte, “Alert ~ 2595 #COVID cases detected today out of 35175 tests. Positivity Rate- 7.38% Kamrup M- 553; Jorhat- 205; Lakhimpur- 199; Golaghat- 173.”

Further, during the day 08 more cases of deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in Assam, thereby taking the death toll in the state to 548.
