Transport minister boards night super bus from Guwahati to Silchar to take stock of facilities provided to passengers

Aug. 19: In what seems to be a pro-active move, Minister of Transport, Excise & Fisheries, Government of Assam, Parimal Suklabaidya boarded a night super bus bound for Silchar from Guwahati on Friday evening in order to fathom the facilities being provided to bus passengers during their journey.

Expressing his views, Transport Minister Parimal Suklabaidya said, “Tonight while going to Silchar by bus from Guwahati, I inspected the vigilance set up Kamrup (M) Enforcement team to check the passenger deluxe buses in regards to good carriage & drink & driving. I am traveling by bus to understand the facilities being provided to passengers.”
