CM Himanta Biswa Sarma shuffles portfolios in cabinet

July 10: Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has shuffled portfolios in his cabinet. Issuing an order to this effect it was stated that “In partial modification of its notification issued on 12 May, 2021, The Governor of Assam on the advice of the Chief Minister is pleased to order the allocation of portfolios among the following members of the Council of Ministers, Assam.”

• UG Brahma given charge of Handloom & Textile, Soil Conservation and Welfare of Bodoland.
• Dr Ranoj Pegu, Minister Education (Higher, Secondary & Elementary) was given additional charge of welfare of plain tribes and backward classes.
