Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge express condolence at the death of Karnendu Bhattacharjee

way2barak, Dec.23: Karnendu Bhattacharjee, Ex-MLA, & ex-two times MP breathed his last at 9.44 AM on Friday. He also served as the President of Silchar District Congress Committee (DCC) for long 27 years. He was admitted in a private hospital in Noida due to old age related issues.

In a tweet, President of Indian National Congress & MP of Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge tweeted,  “Saddened by the passing away of former MP of Indian National Congress (INC) from Assam, Shri Karnendu Bhattacharjee. A devoted Congressman, he also served as the District President, Cachar for 27 years and later was elected MLA from Silchar. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family & supporters.”
