11 detected Covid +ve till 6 PM in Cachar on Wednesday

Sept 1: A total of 11 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 6 PM on Wednesday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 3,280 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 09 persons were found positive, whereas 02 more persons were detected Covid positive in RT-PCR test. It needs mention here that 19 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Tuesday.

The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 31 August to 5 PM on 1 September) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Wednesday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 1 September, there were 25 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 03 patients were put under ventilator support and 17 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 03 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 02 of them were discharged.
