NGO Paavan celebrates its 3rd anniversary by spending quality time with the underprivileged

way2barak, Nov.16: NGO PAAVAN celebrated its third anniversary with a bundle of social services catering to the needs of the underprivileged. The events in this connection were spread across two days on 13th and 14th November. On 13 November, PAAVAN distributed essential commodities along with clothes to 40 families at Devpara in Bisfuti area of Silchar. All of them suffered great loss during the recent flood. The families narrated their harsh experiences of flood while receiving the commodities.

On 14th November, PAAVAN celebrated the anniversary programme along with the inmates of Jeebandeep Old Age Home. Chifly referred by the District Administration and Welfare Societies, the abandoned old ones remained joyful inspite of their helplessness and desolation. By sharing one evening with the aged people, PAAVAN tried to energize the inmates through dance and music along with refreshment in the evening. PAAVAN also distributed essential medicines and other items to the Old Age Home. In a unique way, the NGO stepped into its 4th year by honoring the older generation.

NGO PAAVAN conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the community people at Bisfuti and the authorities of Jeebandeep Old Age Home for their kind cooperation in this regard.

The members present on behalf of PAAVAN were Arundhati Dutta Choudhury, Suroshikha Debnath, Namrata Nath, Kalpa Bhattacharjee, Anindita Nandi and Sunny Kashyap.
