Covishield to be administered at 5 centres in Silchar on 30 August

Aug 29: Dr Reema Patao, Medical Officer of Urban Family Welfare Unit, Silchar on Sunday stated that both online and on-spot vaccination session for those above 18 years of age will take place at five centres in Silchar on Monday, where Covishield will be provided. A total of 1,800 doses of Covishield will be provided on 30 August.

The vaccination centres are:

1. Nazirpatty Model School: Both 1st dose (150 shots) and 2nd dose (200 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration. That means, a total of 350 doses of Covishield will be administered in this centre on 30 August.
2. Durga Sankar Patshala, Ambicapatty : Here, both 1st dose (100 shots) and 2nd dose (100 shots) will be given on the basis of online slot booking. Again, both 1st dose (100 shots) and 2nd dose (150 shots) will be provided on the basis of on-spot registration. That means, a total of 450 doses of Covishield will be given in this centre on 30 August
3. Abhya Charan Patshala, Sadarghat, Silchar: Only senior citizens will be provided Covishield on the basis of on-spot registration. 200 1st dose and 200 2nd dose Covishield will be provided here for senior citizens on 30 August.
4. Nityamoyee LP School, Tarapur: Both 1st dose (200 shots) and 2nd dose (200 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration on Monday.
5. Urban PHC, Trunk Road: At this centre, 200 doses of Covishield will be provided (only 2nd dose) on the basis of on-spot registration on 30 August.
