61 tests Covid-19 +ve in Cachar till 6 PM on Monday

April 26: A total of 61 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 6 PM on Monday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 54 persons were found positive in Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT), whereas 07 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. This was informed by Suman Choudhury, District Media Expert on Sunday evening. It needs mention here that on Sunday, the total positive cases in the district was 108.

Further, Mr Choudhury also informed that on Monday, a total of 420 passengers arrived at Silchar Airport, out of which 320 of them were tested at Tikal Model Hospital. Four passengers were found to be RAT positive on Monday.
