Youth arrested in Udharbond on charge of kidnapping a minor girl

March 21: Udharbond Police has arrested a youth on charges of kidnapping a minor girl. The arrested youth was identified as Rinku Das (21), S/O. Adhir Das, a resident of Rakhalkhal area of Masimpur Police Station. On Sunday, a complaint was lodged at Udharbond Police Station by the father of the minor girl, who is a resident of Durganagar Panchamundi.

In his FIR, the father of the minor girl alleged that Rinku Das forcibly kidnapped his daughter on 17 March when she was going to the Ration Shop along with her parents. The father of the girl added that after this incident, he went in person to the residence of Rinku Das and informed the incident to his parents. In the FIR, he wrote, “Though the parents of Rinku Das accepted the happening of this incident, but at the same time refussed to return back his girl.”

Meanwhile, on the basis of the FIR Udharbond Police started investigation into the matter. On Sunday night, a police team under ASI Pipul Paul was successful in apprehending the girl along with the accused from Masimpur. Rinku Das was produced before the court by Udharbond Police who was sent to judicial custody.
