With 57 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 358 on 3 June, 5 deaths at SMCH
Active cases 3,217 in Cachar, 443 discharged on Thursday
June 3: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Thursday at 11.20 PM. As per the latest data, 57 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 358 persons were found positive in the district on 3 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 301 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 3,217. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Thursday night. Also, 443 patients were discharged after getting cured during the day. It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 317 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 6,713 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 298 persons were found positive, whereas 60 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases in 2021 reached 11,642 in 2021, whereas during the year, 8,314 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 3,217 active patients:
- 294 of them are admitted at SMCH
- 11 at MH
- 47 at SMDCH
- 42 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
- 05 at CRPF Doyapur
- 12 at Gracewell Nursing Home
- 30 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
- 18 at Valley Hospital
- 18 at South City Hospital
- 11 at Nightingale Hospital
- 04 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
- 30 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
- 2,695 patients are in home isolation.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 2 June to 5 PM on 3 June) witnessed demise of 05 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. All the 5 deceased are from Cachar district.
The deceased were identified as E Bimal Singha (27) from Lakhipur in Cachar district, Nur Nehar Bibi (60) from Silcoorie in Cachar, Suparna Das (76) from Meherpur, Silchar, Santanu Das (52) from Kanakpur, Silchar and Nakul Sarkar (65) from Ghoniala, Silchar.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 3 June, there were 275 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 87 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 188 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 33 patients were put under ventilator support and 152 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 25 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 46 of them were discharged. Further, 25 of them have opted for home isolation.
