With 3 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 10 on 29 August
Active cases 131 in Cachar; 27 discharged on Sunday
Aug. 29: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Sunday at 11.30 PM. As per the latest data, 03 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 10 persons were found positive in the district on 29 August. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 07 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 131. This was informed by District Media Expert on Sunday night. Also, 27 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Friday, 27 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 1,384 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 06 persons were found positive, whereas 04 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 19,709 whereas during this phase, 19,384 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 131 active patients:
27 of them are admitted at SMCH
06 at MH
12 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
10 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
11 at CRPF Doyapur
05 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
02 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
10 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
01 Palonghat Model Hospital
47 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 28 August to 5 PM on 29 August) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Saturday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 29 August, there were 26 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 02 patients were put under ventilator support and 14 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 03 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 04 of them were discharged.
