With 11 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 35 on 30 July
Active cases 230 in Cachar; 56 discharged on Friday
July 30: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Friday at late night. As per the latest data, 11 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 35 persons were found positive in the district on 30 July. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 24 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 230. This was informed by District Media Expert on Friday night. Also, 56 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Thursday, 42 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 7,034 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 24 persons were found positive, whereas 11 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 19,038 whereas during this phase, 18,625 patients were discharged.

66 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 29 July to 5 PM on 30 July) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Friday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 30 July, there were 58 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 25 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 33 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 04 patients were put under ventilator support and 30 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 11 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 20 of them were discharged.
