Incessant rains, tracks submerged; movement of many trains controlled in Silchar- Guwahati route

March 26: Torrential rainfall during the last 48 hours has resulted in water overflowing in the railway tracks between between Maibang and Daotuhaja in the hill section. As a result, movement of several trains in the hill section between Silchar and Guwahati were controlled. However, clearing of track was done in a war-footing. As per reports, train movement was resumed later on during the day.
