Biswa Sarma to embark on two-day visit to Barak Valley on December 6–7

way2barak, Dec 5 — Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to embark on a significant two-day visit to Barak Valley on December 6 and 7, during which he will attend multiple key public programmes across the districts of Cachar and Hailakandi.

 

CM Dr Sarma is scheduled to arrive in Silchar on December 6, following which he will proceed to Hailakandi to attend the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan(MMUA) cheque distribution ceremony at the Hailakandi Mela Field at 11:15 AM. Later in the afternoon, the Chief Minister will return to Cachar district to take part in another MMUA cheque distribution ceremony at Borjalenga Field under the Dholai constituency at 1:15 PM, where beneficiaries from the region are expected to receive financial support under the flagship scheme.

 

On the following day, December 7, Dr Sarma will take part in a major infrastructure programme as he attends the foundation stone laying ceremony of the much-anticipated Madhura Bridge, a project that is expected to enhance regional connectivity. Later in the day, he will move to Udharbond to participate in another MMUA cheque distribution ceremony at the D.N.H.S. Field at 11:30 AM, marking his continued emphasis on citizen welfare and financial empowerment.

 

The Chief Minister is expected to depart Silchar for Guwahati later in the afternoon, bringing his two-day tour of Barak Valley to a close.
