Bangladeshi national caught by Karimganj police, currency worth 2500 ‘taka’ found with him

June 22: A Bangladeshi national identified as Shahinur Pasha was caught red-handed by the people in Karimganj while trying to pay auto fare. An eyewitness said, “Suddenly we noticed a young man taking out Bangladeshi currency from his pocket while trying to pay an auto-rickshaw driver. This made us a bit suspicious about him. We then checked and found 2500 Bangladeshi ‘Taka’ in his pocket. Immediately we informed the police.”

Police forces reached the spot at once and took the man along with them to the police station. On investigation, his identity was revealed as a Bangladeshi national, named Shahinur Pasha. He is a resident of Alampur located in Sylhet, Bangladesh. Police also seized an amount of Bangladeshi Taka 2,500 from his possession. Police sources revealed that they will further interrogate him to know how he entered India and with what intention.
