Teacher of GC College & his wife tests corona positive

July 22: After Arunabha Bhattacharjee of Radhamadhab College, another College teacher from Guru Charan College has now tested COVID-19 positive on Tuesday. He was identified as Debashish Sharma, Assistant Professor from the Department of Mathematics, G.C. College, Silchar. Along with him, his wife, Moon Malick was also detected as coronavirus positive. Both of them were admitted at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) on Tuesday. As per sources, their condition is stable.

Taking to his Facebook wall, Debashish Sharma wrote, “Dear friends… I am very sad to inform you that I and my wife Moon have tested Corona positive. We are being taken to SMC now. Anyone having close contact with me during last 10 – 15 days are requested to take precautionary measures or get themselves tested.”

On Tuesday, a total of 159 persons were detected as infected with novel Coronavirus, thereby taking the district tally to 874.
