Silchar Unit of ABVP observes death anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar

Dec. 6: On the 65^th death anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, ‘Samajik Samta Divas’ (Social Equality Day) was observed by the Silchar Unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Sunday. To commemorate the day, ABVP offered floral tribute at the statue of Dr. Ambedkar in the Silchar court premises. Later on during the day, the members of Silchar Unit of ABVP distributed breakfast among 150 students of Madhutilla Village near NIT, Silchar.

Further, in order to spread the light of education among all classes of the society, ABVP distributed notebooks and pencil among the little children. The members of ABVP also made the villagers aware about the life and philosophy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
