Silchar Medical College launches ‘Covid Help Desk’

August 20: For addressing issues related to novel coronavirus, a “Covid Help Desk” was launched on Thursday at Silchar Medical College & Hospital. Informing about this help desk, Silchar MP and Vice Chairman of SMCH, Dr. Rajdeep Roy said, “A Covid Help Desk was launched during the day due to the initiative of SMCH in collaboration with National Medicos Organisation’. The help desk will have its staff under the direct monitoring of the doctors.”

Dr. Roy further said, “Many a times, patients find it very difficult to find out whom to contact or where to go after arriving at SMCH. It is in this context that the help desk will come of use to the people at large. This help desk will also guide patients as regards doing COVID test etc. Those who require COVID test report for medical emergencies and patient information may contact there.”
