৯ অক্টোবর: আত্মপ্রকাশ করল নর্থ ইস্ট কনজ্যুমার সেলস অ্যাসোসিয়েশন। ওষুধ সামগ্রী ছাড়া বাকি সমস্ত জিনিসের সেলস ও প্রমোশনের সঙ্গে জড়িতদের উত্তর-পূর্ব ভিত্তিক সংগঠন। দুর্গাপূজার মত শুভকর্ম দিয়ে শুরু করছেন তাদের যাত্রা। হাসিখুশি ভবনে পুজোয় সামিল হবেন তারা। জানিয়েছেন প্রতিষ্ঠাতা উপদেষ্টা অরূপময় নন্দী ও সম্পাদক অসীম দে। তারা বলেন, এ পর্যন্ত ২৫৭জন সংগঠনের সভ্যপদ নিয়েছেন। পুজোর পর সাংগঠনিক কার্যক্রম শুরু হলে সমস্ত সেলস পিপল এক ছাতার তলায় জোট বাঁধবেন বলে আশা করছেন তারা।

অসীমবাবু বলেন, পেশার জায়গায় নিরাপত্তা ক্রমে কমছে। বাড়ছে নানা ধরনের চাপ। এই অবস্থায় সংগঠিত হওয়ার খুব প্রয়োজন। তাঁর কথায়, শিলচরকে সদর দফতর করে সাংগঠনিক কাজকর্মের পাশাপাশি তারা সাধ্যমতো সামাজিক কাজেও জড়িত হবেন। প্রাথমিক পর্যায়ে ৫ জন দুঃস্থ ছাত্রের পড়াশোনার যাবতীয় দায়িত্ব গ্রহণের সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে নর্থ ইস্ট কনজ্যুমার সেলস অ্যাসোসিয়েশন।

October 9: North East Consumer Sales Association came into being. This is an association of those people who are associated with sales and promotion of commodities other than medicine. They have decided to start their journey by doing Durga Puja this year. The puja will be organised by them at Hashi Khushi Banquet Hall. This was informed by the founder President Arupmoy Nandi and Secretary Ashim Dey. They said that as of now, 257 persons have become the members of this newly formed association. They expressed the hope that in the post-Puja days, all sales people will assemble under one umbrella.

Ashim Dey told that in the professional world, the concept of security is gradually diminishing. Moreover the pressure on the sales people is on the rising trend. As such, the need of the hour is to come under one roof. He further said that, they will be operating by making Silchar as their headquarters and will also involve themselves in social service activities. In the initial stage, the North East Consumer Sales Association has decided to take the overall responsibility of educating 5 poor students.
