1724 patients discharged in Assam on Tuesday

August 25: On Tuesday, 1724 persons were discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across Assam. With this, a total of 74,814 persons were discharged in the state till now. Further, the number of active cases has also come down below 20,000. At present, the number of active cases in Assam stands at 19,515. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1724 patients discharged today. Humble gratitude to doctors, nurses & medical staff for all their kind & selfless efforts.”

Also, 1973 positive cases were reported from various parts of Assam. With this, a total of 94,592 cases were reported till now, out of which, 21,239 are active cases. Further, 8 more persons lost their lives due to novel coronavirus in Assam, thereby taking the death tally of the state to 260.
