Proud moment: Oncologist Dr Ravi Kannan receives Padma Shri Award from Indian President

Nov. 8: It was indeed  proud moment for renowned Oncologist Dr Ravi Kannan, the lifeline of Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (CCHRS), Silchar to be decorated with the coveted Padma Shri Award by the President of India, Ramnath Kobind on Monday at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi.

Taking to its twitter handle, President of India wrote, “President Kovind presents Padma Shri to Dr Ravi Kannan R. for Medicine. He is the Director of Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Silchar, Assam. Dr Kannan and his team offer cancer care to impoverished communities of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.”
