Pulwama: SBI declares loan waiver for 23 CRPF jawans killed in the attack

February 19: The inhuman massacre of CRPF personnel in Pulwana has given rise to countrywide protests. Individuals, associations, NGOs, government employees, traders all have joined hands in providing financial aid to the family of the martyrs. State Bank of India has also stood besides the family of Pulwama attacks.

In a press release issued by the State Bank of India (SBI), it was mentioned that bank would would waive off loans which were taken by 23 CRPF personnel killed in the Pulwama attacks in Jammu and Kashmir in which more than 44 CRPF personnel were killed. The bank is also planning to release the insurance money to the next of kin of the martyred soldiers.

SBI stated that the CRPF personnel were under the Defence Salary Package in which the bank provides insurance of Rs 30 lakhs to each defence personnel. It has also started a dedicated portal to raise funds for the family of the martyrs and has urged its employees to contribute for the same.
