Rabindra Nath Tagore University of Hojai gets its first Vice Chancellor

Janu 8: Amalendu Chakraborty was appointed as the first Vice Chancellor of Rabindra Nath Tagore University at Hojai in Assam. On Friday, Prof. Chakraborty took over the charge as the VC. Speaking during the occasion, the Vice Chancellor said that this University takes pride to be named after the noble laureate Rabindranath Tagore, a versatile genius born in India.

Prof. Amalendu Chakraborty said, “We will be trying to establish this university with full facility and so a meeting within few days will be conducted at Governor’s office where a further blueprint of the new Rabindra Nath Tagore University will be discussed and accordingly we will proceed. I will left no stones unturned to see that this university starts on a positive note.”
