Over 100 students undergo dental, eye check up at Women’s College
way2barak, March 28: In an effort to ensure better health of the students, teaching and non teaching fraternity, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit along with Health Care Centre of Women’s College, Silchar took the initiative to organize a dental check up camp and an eye check up camp in the college premises on Tuesday. Over 100 students, along with teachers and non teaching staffs of the college underwent check-up for their eyes-related issues, dental complications by a team of doctors including Dr. D.S Bhattacharya, Dr. Paromita Paul, Dr. Asim Roy and Dr Sanjib Kumar Das (from ERC hospital).
In the day long camp the students and the teaching, non teaching staff were given necessary health care support and prescription for the treatment by the physicians. Dr Suspita Das, the principal in-charge of the college along with Dr Sanghamitra Debnath the programme officer of NSS unit of the college and other teachers enthused the students and teaching, non-teaching staff to get themselves checked and consult the physicians.
